Colorado's Kebler Pass Aspen Spiral of Gold - by Chris Earley

Standing amidst a grove of shimmering towering gold aspen trees, I became part of the ethereal scene on Kebler Pass. The midday light pierced through the delicate high canopy, casting soft beams that dance across the forest floor. Each golden leaf catches the sunlight, flickering like small flames, painting the landscape in shades of warmth and brilliance.

The trunks of the aspens rise tall and slender, their smooth white bark etched with dark eyes, giving the trees an almost watchful presence. The air is warm, carrying the faint scent of nearby pine and earth, while the occasional rustle of leaves whispers through the grove as a gentle breeze sweeps through the mountains.

I raised my camera, capturing the interplay of light and shadow as it filters through the leaves. In this moment, the beauty of the natural world and artistic eyes converge, creating a scene that’s both peaceful and profound—a memory suspended in time.
