THE FUNCTIONAL AND INNOVATIVE COCOWEB SPORT JOINTLOCK
The past few weeks have been an exciting time for all of us here at Cocoweb. We’ve launched a stunning, new, intuitive website; added a ton of new products; and grown from a lighting store into a living, sports, and soon an electronics store. We’re turning into the new one stop shop for all of your needs.
One of our latest products is a new line of premium bike locks that will rival with that of Kryptonite bike locks and Masterlock bike locks. I’m personally a recreational bike rider, so I wanted to take the JointLock out to try it out and see how it works. I absolutely was not disappointed. This bike lock is, in fact, an innovative new lock that we have out on the market.
The JointLock combines the versatility of a cable lock with the strength of a U bar lock in order to create a brand new type of lock. It is made out of a series of heated alloy steel pieces that are held together by steel joints, which makes it both flexible and strong. The length is 30.5 inches, so it’s not as long as a cable lock, but it’s much longer than a U bar. This lock also has a tensile strength of 3500 kg, which makes it nearly indestructible.
The JointLock, along with all of our locks, comes with an attachment for your bike frame, which will allow you to attach the lock to your frame while it’s not in use. This feature makes this lock even more innovative, and I absolutely love this feature because I used to juggle a cable lock with me while on bike rides. This will allow me to enjoy my bike ride without worrying about a backpack or any extra storage if I want to ride to the beach, pool, or take any other simple rides.
At first, I found it a little difficult to fit the lock into the bike frame attachment. Then, I discovered it’s of the utmost importance to remember to turn the knob pictured below before slipping it into the frame. Every time I tried to fit the lock in without this simple adjustment, the lock would not slide in.
As far as locking goes, I was able to wrap the lock around a small tree trunk, slip it through my front tire, and fit it around my frame. This simply would not be possible with a U bar lock. The lock is sturdy, thick, and versatile in its movement. It then wraps up into a compact size that’s perfect for storage and travel.
The JointLock is certainly worth a try if you’re looking for a new way to lock up your bike. We have it for the low price of $39.99, and in the grand scheme of protecting your bike, that’s a small price to pay. The JointLock also comes with an anti theft locking mechanism as well as three keys. Guess what that means, no combinations to remember! I’m sold, I love this lock.
Happy cycling everyone!
