Meet our Featured Designer - Cami of Wright Interiors!
Welcome to our first ever Designer Corner Featured Profile! Twice a month we will feature one of the businesses from Designer Corner. We will highlight their work, accolades, and involvement in their community.
This week, we are featuring Wright Interiors!
Cami Wright, allied ASID, is the founder and principal designer of Wright Interiors, a full-service interior design firm based in Austin, Texas. Today, with over 20 years in the industry, Cami offers a full range of design services.
Whether designing a resort home in the Rockies, pied-à-terre in Paris, a spa in Beverly Hills, a private jet or television set for her roster of high-profile and celebrity clientele, Cami’s desire for each project is to create a je ne sais quoi–a certain quality that, while elusive, makes the project pleasing and unique.
After graduating from Texas Tech University’s School of Architecture with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design, Cami launched her career in 1993 at Slifer Designs in Vail, Colorado. In 2000, she and two partners founded Worth Interiors with offices in Vail, Aspen and Palm Beach, Florida. In 2003, Cami launched her firm, Wright Interiors, in Aspen, opening offices in Los Angeles in 2005-2013 and coming back full circle to Texas in September 2013.
Though she works on projects across the country, Wright currently divides her time between Austin, Aspen and Los Angeles.
Wright Interiors has received many accolades from some of the biggest magazines in Austin, such as Austin Way, Austin Home, and Modern Luxury Interiors Texas. She’s also featured in The Best of Houzz 2016 in the Design Category. If that isn’t enough, she was also featured on Shahs of Sunset on Bravo TV!
I think my favorite thing about Cami and Wright Interiors is her charity, Just Imagine It.
Just Imagine It was started by Cami Wright to help children after her own life experience inspired her to help others.
As a young girl, Cami underwent open-heart surgery at Texas Children’s Hospital. Cami’s mother created a fantasyland by decorating the hospital room in a princess motif, complete with glamorous nightgowns, robes, and slippers. As a result, Cami was never aware of the severity of the situation and had a perfectly positive and healing experience.
Their mission “… is to provide a positive atmosphere of hope, joy and excitement for some of the most gravely ill children of our city. We endeavor to make their stay a little brighter and more comfortable by making their design wishes a reality. Ultimately, our hope is to aid in their recovery — as we believe, a happy patient is a healing patient.”
If you find yourself in Austin, Aspen, or Los Angeles and are in need of a wonderful interior designer with a giving heart, contact Cami at Wright Interiors.
