Rooted in tradition, I embrace the techniques of the master photographers who inspired me. Utilizing large and medium format cameras with black and white film, I create images that are tactile and authentic. My meticulous process involves me hand processing each sheet and roll of film, transforming them into negatives that are delicately exposed to light through an enlarger. Rather than relying on digital manipulation, I harness the power of traditional darkroom techniques to enhance the interplay of light and shadow, creating images that resonate with depth and emotion.

With over 50 years of experience, I continually strive to push the boundaries of my artistic and technical abilities. My goal is to create photographs that not only capture a moment but also evoke a visceral response, allowing viewers to see and feel the world as I do. In the face of our current climate crisis, my photographs aim to cultivate a profound sense of belonging and stewardship to the natural world.
