TreeRose Photography Elves Chasm 1 in Grand Canyon

"Elves Chasm 1:" One of my most anticipated locations to visit during my river rafting trip through the Grand Canyon was this beautiful oasis on a side canyon along the Colorado River called Elves Chasm, which is a grotto with a beautiful waterfall fed by a natural spring year-round. First, this side stop almost didn't happen due to timing and other logistics with the trip, so I was very thankful that it did.  In this image, I liked the sweeping curve of the rocks leading toward the falls that framed the foreground. I also was intrigued by the pool that seemed to have such a rich, emerald color, but that also teased a mix of slight transparency while retaining a sense of mystery as to what lies below.
