Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado

The first week of October is usually the most colorful in the Rocky Mountains. Being from Estes Park - I went home for a few days to photograph the leafs changing. The night I arrived a huge snow storm came through and buried everything in snow. I couldn't help but to stop and snap this photo with fall on one side and winter on the other.

A rare, poetic moment — one street, two seasons. On the right side, autumn lingers. The air feels alive with the last breath of fall, the trees still vibrant, defiant against the change.

On the left side, winter has arrived, the snow covered branches stretch toward the sky. Everything feels hushed, like the world is holding its voice under the weight of the cold.

The street itself becomes a line of transition — not just between sidewalks, but between seasons, moods, and time. A fleeting moment where nature shows its duality, and you’re reminded that change doesn't always happen all at once — sometimes, it meets you right in the middle.

About the Artist

Aaron is a landscape photographer whose work reflects a deep love for wild places and public lands. Born and raised in Estes Park, Colorado - known as the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park - the outdoors are his second home. Inspired by the quiet beauty of nature and the shifting play of light, he captures moments that invite viewers to pause, reflect, and feel connected to the world beyond their everyday.
