Peaceful Shadows on Squaw Peak Trail (Original Painting) by: Kirk Parkinson

Original oil painting, 24x36.  The Squaw Peak Trail is one of my favorite places to paint. It’s beautiful regardless of the time of year. The Trail is located a few miles from my home in the mountains behind my house. This painting is one I finished just before the fall season. You can see the early signs of autumn in the Aspens. It is always a challenge to render a landscape that is almost exclusively green.  Finding the right blend of green shades and nuances is fun, and the finished product has an element of mystery.  This painting is an original. It is also unique.  This is the kind of scene that many painters do not enjoy.
