Opah (Moonfish) - Lampris australensis (or possibly megalopsis). The Opah is the only warm-blooded bony fish and lives and hunts in very deep water. I love the brilliant colors and unusual shape of this fish. Created from borosilicate glass by Robert Mickelsen and mounted on a clear glass base. 4.5" x 7" x 2"
